Nebraska's 5th Annual Day of Empathy Lobby Day: Empathy Across The Nation

  • Nebraska State Bar Association - Hruska Conference Room 635 South 14th Street Lincoln, NE, 68508 United States (map)

Voting is one of the single most important constitutional rights that a person has. In Nebraska, individuals with felony convictions are being denied immediate access to their voting rights due to an arbitrary law that makes them wait two years after completing any sentencing requirements before receiving their right to vote back.

We believe that people who have been impacted by the criminal justice system are the most integral voices in advocating for change. Nebraska needs all of its citizens to vote, there should not be a wait to participate.

Come join RISE and other member organizations of the Voting Rights Restoration Coalition for Nebraska's 5th Annual Day of Empathy Lobby Day: Emapthy Across The Nation on Thursday, February 15th to speak with our state legislators and let them know Nebraskans are ready to RESTORE THE VOTE!

Join us for senator meetings in the morning and a panel discussion over the lunch hour. Your voice matters…let it be heard!
