Volunteer Opportunity: Business Ideation Research

We are excited to OFFER a new online volunteering opportunity!

Please read about this opportunity in entirety before applying to ensure you’re able to meet the requirements and deadline as it is a quick turnaround.

Type of Online Volunteering:
Business ideation research for RISE’s In-Prison Program participants.

Details:
RISE’s In-Prison Program participant’s are at the stage in their programming where they are beginning to put together business plans. Research is very difficult for our participants due to lack of internet inside facilities and modern resources, but crucial to their final plans for their upcoming business pitch competition in a few months!

  • Volunteers will be answering the questions RISE participants have regarding the specific industry they are looking at entering or creating businesses in. These questions could range from marketing, pricing, tips, products or other services to offer, general industry or business ownership questions, etc.

  • These questions have been thoughtfully collected by RISE’s In-Prison Program Director, Andrea Wright, and Prison Program Associate, Aaron Pettes. Together, they have created a form for volunteers to complete providing anonymous feedback and research to support our participants programming needs at this time.

  • All the materials needed will be sent to volunteers via email on Monday, April 8, 2024 by 12:00pm CT.

  • The deadline for feedback to be returned via form received in above email is Friday, April 12, 2024 by 6:00pm CT.

  3. Further instructions will then come from RISE’s Volunteer Relations Manager, Chantal Wentz, for paired volunteers.

Didn’t get paired this round? Don’t worry! We’ve got many more to come with many different business ideas and different industries! We’ll need you soon!
