RISE’s In-Prison Program Now Offers the Chance of College Credit
The RISE In-Prison Program (IPP) is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking opportunity for our participants: the chance to earn college credit!
Through our partnership with Southeast Community College, participants who complete the RISE In-Prison Program can now receive three credit hours for the course ENTR1050: Introduction to Entrepreneurship. This milestone represents a powerful step forward in creating educational pathways that empower RISE participants to thrive beyond incarceration.
By integrating academic recognition into our program, we’re providing participants with valuable credentials that can open doors to future learning, employment, and personal growth.
“This is a game-changer for our participants,” RISE’s In-Prison Program Director, Andrea Wright, says. “Earning college credit for their hard work not only validates their effort and determination but also sets the stage for future success. This opportunity transforms their time in the program into a tangible, meaningful step toward building a brighter future. We’re so proud to be creating pathways for education and entrepreneurship that truly empower our participants to thrive beyond the walls of incarceration.”
RISE participants are beyond excited for this opportunity. “I want to use what I’ve learned to help impact others. Ultimately, I want to be on this movement to change lives. I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity that I’ve been given. I’m so excited for what’s next!”
